Than Oo Myint, a former member of the DPNS, was arrested in January 1993 charged with making contact with the outlawed ABSDF on the Thai-Burma border. He was sentenced to 2 years in prison. He fled Burma and currently lives in Nupo refugee camp on the Thai-Burma border where he is awaiting resettlement to a third country.<br /> Ko Ko Myint, a township secretary for the NLD, as arrested in November 2005 and was sentenced to 7 years in prison. He was released from Bhamo prison in October 2011 under the general amnesty.
