Kyaw Kyaw Khine, former political prisoner from Burma

Kyaw Kyaw Khine, a member of the Dala Township strike Committee during the 1988 uprising was arrested in November 1988. He was charged with high treason and sentenced to death, commuted to 20 years under amnesty. He was released in September 2008 having served 20 years in jail. He fled Burma and is now a refugee in Umpiem Mai camp on the Thai-Burma border.
Zaw Htoo, a member of the NLD was serving a 20 year sentence in Myaungmya prison before being released under amnesty in October 2011.
