Ant Bwe Kyaw, a member of the 88 Generation Students was first arrested for his role in the 10D student movement of 1991 celebrating Aung San Suu Kyi's Nobel Peace Prize. He was released in 1999 and became a writer. He joined the 88 Generation Students in 2005 and helped lead peaceful protests in August 2007 that led to the Saffron Revolution. He was arrested and sentenced to 65 years in Katha prison but was released under a presidential amnesty on 13th January 2012
