Daw Khin Sann Nwe, a former member of the ABSDF Brigade 701 in Kachin State was arrested in 1989 and spent 4 years in Insein prison. She has since resettled to the USA.
Khin Yi, a fellow member of the ABSDF was arrested in 2009 and charged with possession of explosives. Originally sentenced to 18 years in prison, it has been increased to 65 years. She is currently detained in Insein prison.
