Daw Aye Aye Win, former member of the NLD and politically active since the uprising of 1988, was arrested in June 1996 for distributing photos, videos and audiotapes of Aung San Suu Kyi's speeches. She was jailed for 5 years in Insein prison. She has now re-settled to USA.
Myo Khin, former political prisoner and also a member of the NLD, was arrested in August 2007 for his involvement in peaceful protests that lead to the Saffron Revolution. He was sentenced to 4 years in prison and is still detained in Myitkyina prison despite his sentence expiring.
