Sandar Min is congratulated by a party member as she arrives in the office for the first time since her recent release from prison. A member of the 88 Generation Students and founding member of the Tri Colour Students Group, she was involved in the 1988 mass uprisings and was first arrested and imprisoned in 1989. She was detained again in August 2007 for her role in peaceful protests in Rangoon against the hike in fuel prices and was sentenced to 65 years in prison. She was released in January 2012 and has now been elected as an NLD MP in teh recent bi-elections
