Kyaw Kyaw Htwe, more commonly known as 'Marky', was first arrested in 1989 when he was a high school student. In 2007 he was sentenced to 65 years for his role in the peaceful protests against the regime. He was released from Myeik prison under a presidential amnesty in January 2012
