Kyi Toe, a former member of the ABFSU was arrested in July 1989 for his involvement in the mass democracy uprising in 1988. He was sentenced to 5 years and spent 3 years in Insein prison. He became a member of the 88 Generation Students in 2005 but was forced to flee Burma in 2007 when the military came to arrest him. He is currently living in Nupo refugee camp on the Thai-Burma border where he is awaiting resettlement to a third country.
Jolly Tun @ Jawli Tun, a member of the ABSDF was arrested in 1988 and sentenced to 53 years imprisonment. He is still detained in Thayet prison.
