Phyu Phyu Thin and Phyo Min Thein, both recently elected as NLD MPs chat in the party headquarters in Rangoon. Phyo Min Thein, a former student leader during the 1988 uprising was arrested in 1991 for his role in the student lead protests in Rangoon celebrating Aung San Suu Kyi being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. He was sentenced to 7 years in prison but was given a further 7 years for writing articles whilst in prison. He was finally released in 2005 and joined his colleagues in the 88 Generation Students â his brother in law is Htay Kywe
