Daw Mi Mi Tun was jailed for four years due to her political activities, spending two years in Myitkyina prison and two years in Insein. After fleeing Burma she resettled to Sheffield in the UK.
Thet Thet Aung, a leading member of the 88 Generation Students, was arrested in October 2007 for her role in peaceful demonstrations before and during the Saffron Revolution. Her husband Chit Ko Lin was arrested at the same time. She is currently jailed in Myingyan prison where she is serving a 65-year sentence.
