U Gawsita and U Pyinya Zawta, founders and leaders of the 'All Burma Monks Alliance' (ABMA) at their monastery in New York. Both monks were instrumental in leading the mass uprising in Burma in September 2007 that was known as the 'Saffron Revolution'. They were forced to flee the country soon after and sought refuge on the Thai-Burma border before being re-settled to USA where they now live and continue their work in the fight to be freedom to their country
