Nay Lin was arrested for his participation in the student demonstrations known as '10D' in December 1991 when Aung San Suu Kyi was awarded the Nobel Peace prize and students marched peacefully to honour the award. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison but was released in June 1992 under a General Amnesty. He now lives in the USA.
Aye Min Naing, a former central committee member of the ABSDF was arrested in July 2009 accused of possession of explosives. He was sentenced to a total of 65 years and is currently detained in Insein prison
